1999's Surgery Log: 7-20-1999

Wow, a long time that I had written a surgery diary log. I have been busy with life and nothing has happened to my face until a few weeks ago. I noticed my right cheek was twitching a little when I move my mouth. It was a good sign to see that my nerves are being repaired. As of today, the movements is more noticeable. I cannot hold my movements more than a second, but heck I don't care as long as my face is healing.

I went to the surgeon's office for a checkup and he said it was a good sign. It was about eight months late for any signs of recovery (movements). I told him that I would want to wait for my face to be fully recovered until the jaw surgery. He said that the jaw surgery will make my jaw go out farther and lower. That means I can open my mouth even wider! The next step will probably happen in Y2K, so the waiting game continues... :)

Guess what? Chicken butt! Anyways, it is almost a year since my first surgery (7/23/1998).
