1998's Surgery Log: 8-2-1998

Argh! It is hot again! :(. It has been over a week since my big day. I feel a lot better now. My swellings have ceased, but I still have no feelings due to broken nerves. I can move my right eyeball around, but it is still annoyed by the hard skin. Supposedly, the doctors gave me a muscle transplant. Ack! No wonder my face feels funky. I am trying to yawn a lot so I can open my mouth. I can stick two my fingers in my mouth vertically :). I am trying to chew my food slowly to geting my new mouth going. A few days, I started to wear my hearing aid all day, but not over the scar area near my right ear. It is hard to hear when putting the headset on a different area. Also, hard to keep my headband on my head. Tracheostomy gets annoying when it comes out. It loves to come out, but not back into its hole. Grr! Stupid neck :>. I am still drooling a lot, but a lot less than before. My shirts get easily drooled on, haha.

As you can see, I am both happy and frustrated with my improved mouth.
