1998's Surgery Log: 8-8-1998

Ah, another Saturday for this ant. My recovery is still going, but at a very slow rate. I am not in any serious pain. Just a lot tickling and itching feeling on my right face. I use my soft tissue to touch the annoying areas of my face. Better than using my nails! Ack :). I still have no feeling on my right cheek. I hope my nerves come back soon. I am still trying to open my mouth and pretending to be yawning. I can get two fingers in there now. I am trying to aim 2.5 fingers! Eating, drinking, and showering are still difficult for me to do. I must take my time to do these necessary parts of life. Wearing my hearing aid is hard as well. Getting it to fit on my head and balancing it are not easy! :(. My right eye is still funky with a bloated cheek (not swollen). I hate sleeping and waking up to find that my tracheostomy is out of the hole. Argh! So easy to come out, but hard to get it into its hole. Annoying! This recovery period is pretty tedious. As you can see, I am a bit frustrated. I hope things will changed soon. God, help please? :)

Watching and hearing about the bombings in Kenyan and Tanzanian from the news are painful. Some of those people are really injured. Ouch. I am glad that I cannot feel those pain in my body from my surgery. Hope they will get well like me. :( They have my prayers.
