1998's Surgery Log: 8-13-1998

Another hot day today. Sheesh! I went to the doctor again for a checkup two days ago and things look promising. He said that my mouth opens more than it should. That's a good start for me! :). The only worry that he has is with my nerves on the right side of my face. It is itching a lot and I still cannot feel anything :(. One of my friends told me that his face, from an accident, took him about three months for the nerves to come back. Dang! It is not even a month! The doctor told me to get a MRI scan on my face to check on those nerves. It was scheduled in the late afternoon. I had a busy day already because I had a job exam and interview to take. That went well overall. I did have some difficulities to communicate, but I did not let it intefere me since I have an job agent to assist me. I was impressed by this job interview, especially with the difficulties I had. Hopefully, I get a decent employment opportunity from this PC Pros Information Staffing company. The exams went fairly well. They both had questions on Web development and PowerPoint. I did get a good score on the Web development exam (7x%; 82% was the average). The PowerPoint was not that great. I am not very knowledgeable with that program. I only use it for school and other situations. The whole deal with the company lasted about 2 hours and ended at 3:00 PM. I still have eaten my lunch and ate my breakfast at around 9 AM.

I had to go to UCLA's hospital to get my scan at 4 PM. The scan was rough as well since I was not used to lying down for two hours with all the loud noises and vibration. Also, I could not move my head, mouth, tongue, etc during the scan. I had to drink water through a syringe. Who cares. I was hot, thirsty, and hungry. I had to get a needle shot AGAIN! At least the doctor found my tiny vein in one shot! Woohoo! It was for the 3/4th part of the MRI scan to see my tiny vessels. That was not fun. Finally, I was done and man did I lose balance after 2 hours of lying down! Geez!

Now, it was time for lunch! Yeah lunch at 6:30 PM. I know! I went to a local resturant on UCLA campus. Although, I had difficulties my favorite food, spaghetti. My mouth and throat had trouble with these noodle version! I was upset. :(

Gone home as a tired out ant. Hit my computer and Internet. I ate my dinner at 11:30 and watched the Tonight Show with Jay Leno to cheer myself up. Sheesh. What a day!

Wednesday, I rested all day. Thursday, I had to go to my physical theraphy at USC. Things went well there. :)
