1998's Surgery Log: 11-11-1998

Well, a week and a half flew by since my last surgery. I feel a lot better now than last week. My neck and right ear still hurt, but not so bad that I am going to cry. My ear is still swollen, and my swelling in my neck has shrunk a lot.

I went to see the surgeons and doctors yesterday. He said things were looking well. I did not have to come for a check-up for another six weeks unless something happens. Woohoo! They said I should be getting movements and feelings after three to four months. I hope they do from all that pain and suffering I had to go through!

A few things that I noticed over the recovery days. I have small scars near tracheostomy. They were there because doctors needed to tie my tracheostomy down on my neck. They say tape do not work well if liquid fall on it. Hmmph. Another item that I noticed was the scar where the old one was near my right ear. Argh! That freaked me out when I saw it accidently :(. Exactly the same place over the old scar was from the last surgery. So, I have more scars than I thought I had.

I finally washed my hair with shampoo last night. Man, it felt good and refreshing. Imagine not been able to wash your hair over a week? Ugh! That is why I shaved my head :).

On a page on Blue's News (a popular gaming news Web site), I was mentioned about my major surgery.

Kudos to Blue and the gaming community. I feel loved. ;)
